Whether it's critically acclaimed stage comedies, festival-favorite short plays, award-winning audio dramas, or his decades of storytelling for the world's most recognizable brands, Ruben has devoted his life to crafting language with a beating heart, more than a few laughs, and a whole lot of emotion.
Born in Racine, Wisconsin, the setting for his best-known work, The Gifted Program, he spent over twenty years in NYC, where he co-founded the arts collective OVO. In Los Angeles, he ran the writer's room for the Awesomeness TV series Top Five Live. He has traveled the world from Athens to Shanghai as a segment writer/producer for the NBA. Ruben currently resides in Lansing, NY, with his goth-spinning DJ wife, Gayle.
